What's in the Trademark Application

      articles icon

A trademark application sets out your name, address and the trademark. A separate application is filed for each trademark.

Your application may include any number of goods and services which have been used already. For each you must include a date with a "declaration of use". This is your declaration that the trademark has been used with all the goods and services as set out in the application. This must be filed before registration is granted.

If use hasn't occurred with some goods and services at the time of application, you must specify this. However, before registration is granted, you must demonstrate use.
